Reina Ailin Gomez

Her name is Reina and she is of Dominican and Venezuelan descent. She was born in an area of Venezuela that is considered the northern gate of the Amazon, a beautiful and wild place.

At 21 she became a hairdresser specializing in afro hairstyles. She lives recently in Florence, where she has a salon in partnership with her dear friend. Her work also leads her to wander around many Italian cities to help African Afro-descending girls love their natural afro hair.

I believe that an identity crisis exists precisely when you do not reflect yourself in anyone like you, you believe that you do not exist, for this reason representation is fundamental.
